Russo has been in the industry since 2009. She has always known that hairdressing was her calling. Working in a salon in Pennsylvania where she got her start she had opportunities to work with some of L'Oreal's top stylists, cultivating a hunger for continuing education. After moving to New York in 2013, she focused on mastering men's cutting and styling before coming to Hairroin. At Hairroin she brings her strong men's styling skills, continuing to create solid cuts, natural coloring (including men’s grey blending), and beard trims on men who want a stylish, modern look without sacrificing masculinity. In contrast to the strong, masculine looks she creates on her male clients, she also specializes in soft, touchable women's haircuts and color. Her women's work centers around maintaining the essence of each client's natural hair texture, maximizing its beauty with a customized cut or color. As someone who has curly hair, she understands the patience and importance of cutting curls, taking a multi-step approach to make sure curls look great worn naturally, diffused, or blown out straight.
Working at Hairroin enables Russo to consistently further her skills; taking continuing education classes in cutting, color, and product knowledge keeps her fresh, current, and pushing herself to always strive for more.
